AI chatbot for WordPress
An AI agent for customer service that only says what your site says
It answers visitors around the clock from your own help docs, pages and products, shows where each answer came from, quotes prices only from your store, and hands the chat to a person when it should.

- Sources shownon every answer
- 1.6 sto the first word, on our own site
- Your keyyour provider’s price, no per-chat fee
Answers
Answers from your own pages, with the sources
Choose what it reads, and every answer shows the help docs it used, with a Talk to a person button underneath.
- Reads your help docs (BetterDocs), pages, blog posts, WooCommerce products and EDD downloads.
- Quotes prices live from your store, never from an old page.
- Never states a price, discount, date or promise that isn’t in your docs or your store.
- Tone (friendly and brief, neutral or formal), the visitor’s language or the site’s, and up to 4,000 characters of your own instructions.
- For a logged-in or verified customer, it sees their orders, licences and renewal dates, for that visitor only, with keys masked.
Hand-over
Hands the chat to a person, at the right moment
The AI knows what it shouldn’t answer. It tells your team in a few words why it handed over, and tells the visitor the team will reply in the chat, or by email if they leave.
- Hands over for refunds, billing, licence or account changes, discounts, a bug, an upset visitor, a request for a person, or a question your knowledge doesn’t answer.
- The chat shows "Needs a person"; replying takes over, and Hand back to the AI gives it back.
- Offers a person after 6 AI replies that didn’t solve it (you set the number).
- Steps in when someone is online but hasn’t replied, after 1 minute by default, and says a person can still join.
- Suggest a reply drafts an answer from your docs for an operator to check; Summarise for the team posts a short summary as a private note.
Knowledge
You decide what it may read
For each kind of content: all of it, the pages you tick, or none. Edits reach the AI by themselves.
- Re-indexes a page by itself when it’s updated; Re-index now rebuilds the whole index in the background.
- Leaves out pages not updated for 12 months (you set it), so old prices and features aren’t quoted. Allow anyway lets one back in.
- Meaning search with an embeddings model; without it, keyword search.
- With Rentals & Bookings (1.0.16 or later), it checks free dates and gives the price the cart will charge, with a booking link.
- From the command line too: wp silc kb index, kb status and kb search.
Try it
Ask it anything before your visitors do
Try it answers a question the way a visitor would get it, with its sources, optionally as if asked on a given page. Nothing is saved and no visitor sees it.
- Switch the agent on only when you like its answers.
- Ask as if on your pricing page, or any other page.
- This month’s spend, chats, cost per chat and time to the first word sit on the same screen.
Models and keys
Your models, your key, your bill
Bring a key from OpenRouter (one key, many models) or from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or any OpenAI-compatible service. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again.
- Answers: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash by default.
- Fallback: Claude Haiku 5.5, used on an error or when the first word takes more than 8 seconds.
- Summaries and suggested replies: Claude Sonnet 5.5.
- Embeddings: Voyage 4 Lite, for meaning search.
- Change any of them, or point it at your own OpenAI-compatible URL.
Privacy and budget
Private by default, with a spending cap
Conversations stay in your WordPress database. When the AI answers, the conversation goes to the AI provider you chose, and only as much as it needs.
- Zero-data-retention hosts only (on by default): requests go only to model hosts that keep no data, and every request asks the provider not to collect it.
- Emails, phone numbers and card-like numbers are hidden before the conversation leaves your site (on by default).
- A monthly budget, US$20 by default: when it’s reached, new chats go to a person or email, and administrators get an email.
- Past conversations are not shown to the AI unless you switch it on; by default it gets a short summary of the last chat.
AI cost calculator
What Sales Igniter Chat costs you each month, AI included
The licence is yearly: $99 for one site the first year, then $59 a year, with every operator included. The AI is billed by your own provider at their token price, with no per-chat fee from us.
Their total a month—
Every service at your numbers
The licence is spread over 12 months. How we count the AI: 3 AI replies per chat and about 3,450 tokens in and 285 out per reply, measured on our own site (a small sample: change them above). Each reply carries the relevant doc sections, the store facts and the chat so far, which is why the input is large. On our site the plugin’s own counter showed $0.0019 per AI chat. Their side uses each service’s cheapest published plan that fits your operators and AI chats, at monthly list prices from their own pages (the sources are on each comparison page). Services that bill per AI resolution charge only for chats the AI solves on its own; set that share above.

List prices from each provider’s own pricing page. Through OpenRouter, add its fee for buying credits: 5.5% by card (at least $0.80 a purchase), or 5% in crypto; it passes the providers’ token prices through without a markup. With a key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google directly there’s no middleman fee.

Questions about the AI chatbot for WordPress
Do I need an AI key?
Only for the AI agent. Without a key, chats go to the people who are online, and to email when nobody is. With a key, you pay the provider directly at their token price.
Which AI provider should I use?
OpenRouter gives one key for many models, and the plugin’s defaults are set for it. You can also use a key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, or any OpenAI-compatible URL.
Can it make things up?
It answers only from the knowledge you choose, shows the sources it used, never states a price, discount, date or promise that isn’t in your docs or your store, and hands over when your knowledge doesn’t answer the question.
What happens when the budget runs out?
New chats go to a person or to email, and administrators get an email. The budget is US$20 a month by default; you set it.
Does it answer emails too?
If you switch on Let the AI answer emails (off by default). With it off, operators answer email and the AI can draft a reply.
Is my visitors’ data sent to the AI?
The conversation goes to the provider you chose when the AI answers. By default only to hosts that keep no data, with emails and phone numbers hidden. Your conversations are stored in your own WordPress database.
Let the AI answer, and keep people in charge
